Product Overview:
Silicon Windows are transparent materials in the MWIR region. They have wide transmission band (covering 1.2-7um), low cost, and low density, making them suitable for weight-sensitive applications. Widely used for military, imaging, scientific industries and substrates for optical coatings.
Features:
High infrared transmittance: Silicon window sheets have a high transmittance in the infrared band (especially in the 8-14 μm atmospheric window band), which can effectively transmit infrared signals. They are suitable for applications such as infrared imaging and infrared spectral analysis, helping to accurately obtain the infrared information of target objects and achieve functions such as non-destructive testing and component analysis.
Low visible light transmittance: Its transmittance of visible light is relatively low, which can effectively block visible light interference. When the equipment operates in the infrared band, it avoids stray light interference from visible light on imaging or detection results, ensuring the accuracy and sensitivity of infrared detection.
Excellent thermal stability: Silicon window panels have a low coefficient of thermal expansion, ensuring good dimensional stability when the temperature changes. They are less likely to cause optical performance changes due to thermal expansion and contraction, and can adapt to different temperature environments, ensuring long-term stable operation of the equipment under complex temperature conditions and reducing maintenance costs caused by temperature fluctuations.
High hardness and strength: It has high hardness and strength, can withstand certain mechanical pressure and impact, is not easy to be scratched or damaged, can effectively protect the internal optical components, extend the service life of the equipment, and reduce the frequency of equipment maintenance.
