Product Overview
Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Windows have a wide spectral range and low absorptivity at infrared wavelengths plus the visible transmission, are ideal for a wide variety of infrared applications, including FLIR thermal imaging for medical and industrial systems. This chemically vapor-deposited material has wide usage in CO2 laser systems because of its low absorption coefficient and high resistance to thermal shock too.
Features
Wide-band transmission: The ZnSe window exhibits excellent transmission performance within the wavelength range of 0.5 to 22 microns, especially excelling in the infrared band of 3 to 12 microns, making it highly suitable for use in infrared optical systems.
Low absorption coefficient: In the infrared band, the absorption rate of ZnSe is extremely low. For instance, its absorption coefficient at 10.6 micrometers is only 0.0005 cm⁻¹, which means it can maintain high transparency in high-power laser systems and reduce energy loss.
Low dispersion: ZnSe has the characteristic of low dispersion, which can reduce signal distortion and ensure the accurate transmission of infrared radiation.
Applications
High-power CO₂ laser system: Due to its low absorption coefficient and high thermal stability, the ZnSe window is an ideal choice for high-power CO₂ laser systems (with a working wavelength of 10.6 microns).
Thermal imaging and FLIR systems: ZnSe Windows are widely used in thermal imaging and forward-looking infrared (FLIR) systems, effectively transmitting infrared light for target detection and imaging.
Medical diagnostic system: In the medical field, the ZnSe window can be used in diagnostic equipment such as infrared spectroscopy analysis to assist in the detection and analysis of biological tissues
